The 1912 Overture - 9:30

| The "1912" is to early 20th-Century music (transitioning minstrel shows, vaudeville to jazz, as "La Valse" is to the 19th Century's adieu to glittering chandeliers, ladies in hoop skirts , moustachioed officers with swords and gleaming medals, spinning wildly about, in the dying days of pre-WWI Europe. The "1912" is a bittersweet crossfade from innocent ragtime to modern harmonies. |
